tigers first home match of the 2011/12 season is tomorrow saturday 3rd september 2011
we are playing exeter chiefs and it will be a very difficult match as we have 11 players missing due to the rugby world cup and 3 long term injuries,whereas exter only have 1 player missing from their squad due to the world cup
the tigers have an open event for 4 hours before the match in the park opposite the stadium,with singers,bolliwood dancers,street dancers performing.the army has mini tanks and a climbing wall.there are also other side shows and its free to all.

Bundesliga Day 1: Mainz 2:0 Leverkusen
A well deserved loss makes Bayer04’s season start quite unpleasant. After the already legendary loss against Dresden in the first round of the Cup, the “Werkself” lost their first Bundesliga match as well. 1 + 1/2 own goals made the result look friendly regarding the poor performance of the Leverkusen squad. It is quite obvious now that Bayer are at least one apt defender short to even think of surviving a Champion’s League game.

Cup Win Will Remain a Dream: Out in Round 1 for Bayer Against Leage Two Club Dresden
It was a 3-0 lead in minute 68 for Bayer in a game to be remembered. When the ref blew the final whistle in minute 120, it was 3-4. No one made the effort to explain the unexplicable, so the good news is that the Bayer Side can now concentrate on Bundesliga and Champion’s League. Wheather this is a benefit or not remains to be seen, for example this Sunday in Mainz on Day 1 of Bundesliga 2011/12.

Bayer 04 win fifth “Vizemeister”
With a well-deserved 0-1 victory in Freiburg, Bayer 04 secured the second place in the Bundesliga and thus a direct Champion’s League qualification. Given the performances in the last few matches this is a great success, although as always people felt that there was much more possible this season.
Pete, Flo, Janni, Sascha and Bio gave everything to support Bayer and make good representatives in the lovely city of Freiburg. I guess we succeeded…

This is the home of the (as far as we know) first football / rugby fan friendship between fans of the glorious Leicester Tigers and the mighty Bayer 04 Leverkusen! It all started back in 2008 and many legendary reunions have taken place since then – the upcoming pictures section might give you an idea. On both sides of the channel new homes and friends were found, new alliances were made and above all, we’ve had great times. This website will keep those who want up to date on upcoming events, fixings, tables and member news, and it may help to keep in touch.
